Weed Eater Trouble

Hello..
I have a weed eater that I am having trouble with. When i use it the trim line pulls inside when I try to lengthen it. I have tried to re-wind it but it always seems to do it. I looked on the website and they said to be sure to wind the trim line sepeartely. I tried that to and it did not work.
I have a troy built brand weed eater
Please let me know how to fix it.
Thanks

I tried to find a diagram of your trimmer head but couldn't because I don't have a model number. Is the string diameter correct and wound in the correct direction? Do all the parts look intact and unbroken? maybe a shot of wd40 on sliding parts might help some.
