i am putting in new bi fold doors in an exsiting closet there were old bi folds before new doors the problem is the opening is 79 1/4 inches  and the doors are 79 inches can't get them to go in is it allright to cut about 3/8 inch off the bottom thanks in advance  Undecided Huh

No problems. Most stock doors have oversize outer frames to account for trimming.

If your door made by wood than there should not problem with bi fold doors.
